The goal of the one- day symposium is to bring together Researchers, Historians, Community Leaders, Stakeholders,Students and the Public to discuss Lagos’ complex history, examining its origins, colonial influences, and socio- political evolution of the city. The gathering will examine sources, analyse colonial documents, and conduct a thorough investigation of the events that authenticate the emergence of the City.
